he Golden Key Campaign, sponsored by the Internet Privacy Coalition (IPC), was started as a way to make people aware of their right to privacy and to stop the government(s) from taking that away.

Unfortunately, the Freedom of Speech is not the only thing that we have to worry about the government taking away from us. We also have to worry about them invading our privacy. For some reason, the government thinks that it should be able to look at private electronic comunication between individuals whenever it wants without cause and without the need of a search warrant. You wouldn't want the government to tap your phone or read your postal mail for no reason, so why should they be able to read your email? So, do your part to protect your right to privacy by telling your government to stay out of your business.
